The Gladiolus

Gladiolus have long stood for strength and honor, the sword-shaped bloom that gave them the nickname "sword lily." In hot pink and bright orange, they reach up to four feet, tall enough to anchor a room on their own. As fall settles in and the light turns gold and gray, they hold onto summer's color instead of fading into the season.
